Your content is done and NBME 27 is behind you. This is every day from there to the exam: consolidation, and no new content. It is the plan Part 6 of the video points to.
Only 3 forms carry the verdict: NBME 31, 32 and 33. Everything before them is training. Even NBME 34 is not that predictive.
In the Vault schedule, the stretch after your first NBME is normally 33 days, and your exam date is 35 days after your first NBME. This is that stretch, in order. The form order is the one from Part 5: 28, 29, the NBME Booster, then 31, 32 and 33, and the Free 120.
| Day | What you do |
|---|---|
| Days 1–10 | Repair round. 1 system a day: that system in First Aid in the Vault, or its Foundation Anki deck. Fix exactly what NBME 27 exposed. NBME 28 and 29 go in as timed 20-question blocks, offline, reviewed the same day. |
| Days 11–17 | NBME Booster, forms 20–30, system by system. Finish every system before your next form. The last 3 of these days also carry 2 blocks of NBME 31 each. |
| Day 18 | Full-length day 1: NBME 32 plus the last 4 blocks of NBME 31. 280 questions, 14 blocks of 20. Same wake time, same breaks as the real exam. |
| Days 19–22 | Randy Neil PDF + Mehlman High-Yield Arrows. Arrows 1–40, 41–80, 81–120, 121–160: 40 a day, all 160 in 4 days. The Randy Neil PDF takes 2–3 days at most. Clear your due Anki and revisit what full-length day 1 exposed. Days 21 and 22 also carry 1 block of NBME 33 each. |
| Day 23 | Full-length day 2: the rest of NBME 33 plus the Free 120. 280 questions, a full 14-block day. |
| Day 24 | Review day, and the verdict. Review the Free 120 and NBME 33 in full, every question, with the review protocol. You now have NBME 31, 32 and 33. Check them against the bar. |
| Days 25–26 | NBME Booster, forms 31–33, system by system. Half the systems on day 25, the other half on day 26. |
| Day 27 | Full-length day 3: Vault Assessment 1. 14 blocks, 280 questions, under exam conditions. |
| Days 28–32 | The final week. Nothing new. See the breakdown below. |
| Day 33 | The day before. Rapid Review and weak systems from First Aid until 5–6 p.m., books closed, lights out at 9 p.m. The full day-before plan. |
| Exam day | 14 blocks of 20. 3 deep breaths after every 20 questions, a 5–7 minute glucose break after every 40. |
Run it system by system, never form by form. This is how the systems split across days 11–17:
| Day | Systems | Plus |
|---|---|---|
| Day 11 | Renal · Respiratory · General Pharmacology | — |
| Day 12 | GI & Liver · Biochemistry | — |
| Day 13 | Reproductive · Endocrine · General Pathology | — |
| Day 14 | Immunology · Heme / Onc · Ethics | — |
| Day 15 | MSK · Microbiology | NBME 31, blocks 1–2 |
| Day 16 | Psychiatry · CNS | NBME 31, blocks 3–4 |
| Day 17 | Cardiovascular · Pharmacology · Biostatistics | NBME 31, blocks 5–6 |
Short on time on a given day? The counts are a recommendation, not a quota. Take the systems you are weakest in first. How the Booster is built, and why it works: The NBME Booster.
In the final week you don't do anything new. This is all you do:
Spread across the 5 days, alongside the daily work:
| Day | Add this |
|---|---|
| Days 28–29 | Pharmacology revision straight from First Aid, then the NBME Booster, pharmacology only: every pharmacology question from the NBMEs, as flashcards. |
| Days 30–31 | Sketchy for micro, and the 90-minute high-yield antimicrobials video. Then the NBME Images Anki: every image asked in the NBMEs, as flashcards. |
| Day 32 | The High-Yield Biostats PDF, then finish whatever is left of the Images deck and the pharmacology deck. |
