The NBME Images Anki: Every NBME Image, as Flashcards

Every image ever asked in the NBMEs, put together as flashcards. You run it in the final week before Step 1, when nothing new goes in and everything you have already seen gets asked back.

The deck in 1 line.
The NBME Images Anki is a consolidation of every image asked in the NBMEs, each 1 turned into a flashcard, so the images the forms have already shown you are recalled actively, not seen once and forgotten.

new content. Images you have already met.

What it is

The NBME Booster turns the topics of every retired form into 1-line cards. The Images Anki does the same job for the pictures: every image the NBMEs have asked, as a flashcard.

It lives in the Vault Anki alongside the other decks. The Foundation Anki teaches you the book, the Booster teaches you what the exam asks, and the Images deck makes sure the images it asks are not new to you on exam day.

When to run it

WhenWhat
The final weekRun it here. It is 1 of the 2 extra decks for the final week, along with the NBME Booster, pharmacology only.
Alongside itFirst Aid Rapid Review, the FA Foundation Anki or the NBME Booster Anki, the Mehlman High-Yield Arrows, the Randy Neil PDF, Sketchy for micro, and pharmacology revision from First Aid.
Not beforeYour content and your NBMEs come first. This is consolidation, not learning.

Where it falls, day by day: The Last Month Before Step 1 places it on days 30–31, with day 32 to finish whatever is left.

How to run it

1
Final week only. It is part of the final-week list, not a new resource. In the final week you do nothing new.
2
Finish the deck. The point is that every image the NBMEs have asked has been in front of you once more before exam day. A half-done deck leaves images you have not revisited.
3
Drill what you keep missing. Pick & Mix filters across every deck, so the cards you flagged or missed get a session of their own.
Pair it with the image rule. Knowing an image is half of it. The other half is knowing which images to look at first. The NBME MCQ protocol covers it: derm images are almost always diagnostic, labs and a simple X-ray are looked at first, and an ECG or a complicated CXR, CT or MRI is skipped in favour of the stem.

What not to do

Do not start it before your content is done. It is a final-week deck.
Do not add a new image atlas in the final week. Nothing new. This deck is the images the NBMEs have already asked.
